Hey!
I am feeling like there isn’t enough time in the day. I have so many things I want to get done- and I know I am way behind responding to special order requests! I promise I will tackle my desk this weekend!
My boys stayed home a few days this week- just a cold, but I like to let them rest when they aren’t feeling 100%. But of course, Boeden doesn’t rest. He starts random projects, like cleaning the lanterns from on the mantle. He said they were dusty and proceeded to pull out every extraneous accoutrement known to man. He had a Dremel, squeegee and 3 cleaning “potions”, along with 3 different color rags, all with a specific purpose. Then he decided he needed a specific ”scraper” and ran downstairs to make one on his 3D printer. You seriously can’t make this stuff up- he runs me ragged!! But, as is the norm with Boe, he lost interest mid way and left me with a mess to clean up….and dirty lanterns!!
I haven’t quite figured out the balance of “working” when they are home. Back when I had a real job, and a nanny, the lines were much more defined. Now, if anything in our schedule changes, I just have to figure out how to make it work along with the bakery….and I have not mastered that! Plus I am always overflowing with mom-guilt. Boeden probably would have been fine to spend the entire day on his ipad. But I suggested we build a scarecrow. (Don’t worry, mid way, he went to the garage and got various rakes and the leaf blower and started spreading the straw on the grass, and I finished the project solo!)
So I have a few fun Halloween ideas that I really hope to share with you all in the near future…but we will have to wait and see if Boeden will allow me to actually get my bakery work done!!
