I just need to accept my life is never going to be boring!

The past 7 days have felt like an eternity. But thankfully the crazy week is behind us and a lot of the challenges had a positive outcome! The cardiologist cleared Boeden, our meeting with Boeden’s school went well, and while Bensten missed the states cut for the 800m by .02 seconds on Saturday, he made the cut (by about .01) on Wednesday! Plus he had some pretty awesome friends come cheer him on!

But guess what?  No sooner do I catch my breath….

There is ANOTHER holiday looming!

I’ve always said teachers are literal superheroes—and Special Education teachers are gold-plated superheroes. So, our little bakery takes Teacher Appreciation Week pretty seriously.

(Last year we sold 51 teacher appreciation combo boxes—not including the ones I sent to my own kids’ teachers! I swore I would never do it again… but I guess time heals all wounds. Or maybe I just appreciate teachers that much.)

Anyway, today we’re opening sales for:

• Friday (5/1)- Regular bakery day

• Tuesday (5/5) – Teacher Appreciation Day (As in years past, you can choose pick up or delivery to any McLean school)

*If you need delivery to multiple schools, please place each school as a separate order—it really helps us stay organized!

*Each item will include a special tag, so if you’d like to add a message for each teacher, just include it in the comment section. If you’re ordering a larger number of boxes, feel free to email me your messages—many of you did that last year, and it made things easier for everyone.

I have to cut this short because Boeden is currently attempting to tunnel under our driveway to extend the sprinkler system he installed—and now needs a part from the hardware store. He woke me up at 6:30 this morning asking me to move my car… just in case the driveway caves in.

Never a dull moment!
