Considering it’s Saturday afternoon, it's pretty obvious that I am behind on bakery work! (I'm also very behind on laundry!) But I'm sitting at my desk, feeling very grateful- for lots of reasons- so I wanted to send a quick message. My life is busy and most days, some unforeseen event hijacks my schedule. I have come to savor the reliable parts of my routine. Baking for you all has become a reliable aspect of my weekly schedule- and I am so grateful for it! And our little bakery community continues to grow. Just today, I was sitting at Boeden’s baseball game, and one of the mom’s said “Amanda placed her first order this past week.” I was confused, since I rarely look at who has placed orders. I just bake! But a new family on Boeden’s baseball team heard about our little bakery and ordered- and it made me so happy! (And I just saw that they ordered again for next week, which makes me REALLY happy!)
As I’m sure anyone with kids can attest, our schedules are crazy. I crave any version of “routine”. Having all 4 kids in different places has almost become my norm, and somehow, I feel okay with that. I guess if I know they are all safe and happy, regardless of where they are physically are located, it feels routine and comfortable! As I write this, Lil is visiting friends at Clemson. Izzy is at the BC football game. Lance is with Bensten and his Flint Hill cross country team in Fork Union his first official 5K of the season. And Boeden is weed whacking the basement. Yup, even Boeden’s bizarre idea of fun has become a comforting part of my routine!
I just wanted to thank you all for being a part of my weekly routine. This bakery makes me very happy! I hope you all have a great weekend!

PS- And even Boss napping on MY bed has become routine. Our house is truly a zoo. But I love my little zoo!
